Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are tables and chairs included in the hire?
Tables and chairs are available in all of the rooms.
2. Do you provide cups and plates?
We advise all hirers to bring disposable items that can then be bagged and disposed of easily in the waste container outside the hall.
3. Do I collect keys for my hire?
We do not give keys. A member of the caretaking staff will always let you into the building and ensure that your hire gets off to a perfect start. They will then attend at the end to check the hall, return deposits, etc.
4. Is there a Kitchen?
There is a kitchen included in the hiring of the Main Hall. All other hireable rooms have access to an area for making refreshments. The refreshments are to be provided by the hirer.
5. Can I have alcohol at my event?
Alcohol can be given to your guests but must not be sold on the premises.
6. Can I have a bouncy castle or soft play during my party?
You can only have a bouncy castle in the Main Hall, the height must be no more than 12ft. soft play can be used in all the other hireable rooms.
7. Do you have a PA system?
The hall does not have a PA system that is available for hirers to use.
8. What is the latest that I can hire the hall?
The latest point that the hall can be hired is until Midnight at weekends.
9. Is there parking available at the hall?
There is a public car park adjacent to the hall (Hillshott Car Park). This is a Pay and Display car park. It is free parking after 6.00pm and all-

There is a very small stage available in the Main Hall.
11. Do I have to pay a deposit?
Payment for the hire is taken within an agreed period prior to the hire commencing. A cash deposit is requested on the day of the actual hire and refunded after the hire provided all the hire terms and conditions have been met by the hirer.
12. Can I view the hall before I hire it?
We encourage all hirers to come and view the room that they are hiring to satisfy that it will meet their needs on the day of the event.
